I am married to a fellow runner and we are blessed with  3 awesome kids ages 9,6, and 1.  I have been running for 7 years.  It is my sanity saver!!!

Ran 6 miles on the River Trail today.  The first 3 I did in 21:00 flat.  The first half mile took me 5 minutes, so I know I had to have run a sub 7 minute mile sometime in there to make up for it.  The next 3 were a bit slower but my time for the total 6 miles came in at 44:20, average pace: 7:20.  I am going to keep working hard and maybe someday I can do a whole half that fast.  I can do hard things!

I did 10 miles around town and the river trail today.  Average pace per mile:  8:10 This felt so slow to me and a month ago I would have been overjoyed to achieved that.  I just didn't feel good this morning, all achy and stiff and there was a wind in my face most of the time. 

Oh well, I got the mileage in anyways.

We were camping so I did a 4 mile trail run.  It was in deep sand and a lot of hills so it was slow, but oh so hard.  8:30 average mile.

This had to be in the top 3 hardest runs I ever did.  I started out feeling yuck and kept thinking it would get better.  At mile 5, I broke down and took a power gel and thought that would help. It never did.  I had made up my mind to do 10 so I finished, but I literally cried when I walked in the front door and my husband asked me if I was ok.  I think maybe I was severly dehydrated or something. That is what it felt like, but I had drank lots the night before and a bottle before running this morning, so I am not sure. My average pace was 8:35/mile which is so frustrating.....maybe tomorrow will be better.

For the first time in weeks, I ran on the tm. The ole Gold's Gym is getting busy again. Blah! I haven't done the math yet, but my average pace was somewhere around 8:20/min.

Did a late afternoon run at Gold's. It was hot and it was during the time of day that I am feeling the most drag so it wasn't my best shot, but I did ok. Getting some excersise in is always better than none right? I had to go late because my hubster ran the Hobble Creek Half this morning and I got to go watch him. Well, he was so fast all I saw was a blurr. J/K. But he did do it in 1:34 which was a minute faster than last year and he was 22nd in his age group so I was impressed. He is an awesome runner. Someday maybe he will join frb.

Did 6 miles around the River trail. I met up with Lily during her 21 mile run and did 4 with her. I felt guilty and a bit jealous I couldn't do it too all at the same time leaving her to go home but I needed to let my hubbie work. Maybe soon I will get a long run in. Average pace was 7:47/mile which is slower than I have been. I felt a little tired in this morning.

I was a gym goer today. I did 8 miles on the tm in 61 minutes.  I think that is about a 7:40 pace.  It sure felt hot after the cool outside morning runs.

About mile 9 I decided I would do 5 more, so I was not prepared for a long run today and had no gu or gel or water.  That might have made this more enjoyable.  I also went out through farm courntry and had two dogs chase me and there was nothing to look at for miles out there and the sun just shining down baking on me.  All in all, I would give this run 2 stars.  I averaged 8:20/mile which isn't fast enough to stay on track for the time I want at TOU. Now I have to do another long run this week to get my confidence back up.  I can do this!

I got up and decided to just have fun this morning   I took our dog, which I don't usually do because he is lazy and you have to drag him towards the end. I hoped he could hang on for 4 miles.  He made a nice companion.  I even left the garmin at home so I could just do whatever I felt like doing pace wise.  I felt like during the running, I was keeping a good pace, but I stopped to let the dog drink and swim in the river, so overall it was slow.  I super enjoyed it tho.

Skipped yesterday's work out because my feet hurt.  They still hurt today, but I couldn't just stay home so I went to Gold's.  I ran about 7 of the 9.5 miles and then had to walk. Yuck!! Reminds me of being pregnant.  I hate walking. I hope a pair of new shoes will get me feeling better soon.
